Every editorial project begins with a feeling. For this piece, the intention was to capture the overwhelming sense of scale and intimate vulnerability that comes with committing to another person against the backdrop of nature's majesty.

We deliberately chose early morning and late evening light, utilizing natural shadow to carve out the subjects from the environment. The resulting imagery is less about documenting an event, and more about interpreting an emotion.
